YOU HAVE ONE GREAT
magazine this month! The April
issue was so overwhelmingly
refreshing with such color. I saw so
many bright pages and great ideas
that I hope to use in my house and
garden, especially the ideas of the
working pantry (
page 74).
I can’t
wait to reorganize mine with your
approach. It seems more sensible.
I love how you used a lot of bold
coloring in the magazine. Thanks
for this month’s lovely, vibrant issue.

ONE THING I WOULD
be interested
in seeing in your magazine is a
section on organic and healthy
foods. My husband and I are in the
Army and we move often. The
hardest part about it seems to be
finding the best grocers and/or
farmers’ markets to buy great
organic produce or healthy foods.

I HAVE 30 YEARS OR MORE
of
pictures stored in plastic boxes
under beds, in closets, just about
everywhere. I would like a good
suggestion on how to store photos
and be able to look at them when
I want without going through
every
box. If anyone has a good
idea, I would love to hear it.

We asked: How do you
plan your makeover
projects at home?
I HAVE A SAMPLE
of all mv home’s
paint colors on a ring in my purse
(one of those silver office supply
ones), so when I find an accessory
that I think will match the red in my
kitchen, for example, I can check
rig h t
there. Saves time that way.

FOR MY LAST
room makeover it
took me almost a year to accumu-
late special pieces, but it was worth
the wait. I now have a room of
cotton candy pink paint, glossy
white beaded-board wainscoting
enhanced with a custom-made
beaded-board headboard, and a
desk, now painted citrus green. It
was such fun putting it all together,
from a photo that I pulled out of
Better Homes and Gardens
some
three or four years ago that I used
for a color guideline. Thank you for
letting me share my excitement
This was the first time I have done a
room just for my own satisfaction
and expression.
